Abstract
This study aimed at evaluating the role of educational media programs in promoting the right of return for Palestinian refugees. The study population consisted of refugees in the camps of the Gaza Strip, where the researcher chose a stratified random sample of (200) refugees from refugee camps in the Gaza Strip, and the (SPSS) program was used to analyze the data.
The study concluded that the degree of respondents' follow-up to educational programs on local radio stations is high. The study also concluded that most radio stations that broadcast educational programs and work to promote the right of return for refugees were official radios. The study also showed that the most important reasons for respondents' follow-up to local radio stations is their speed in transmitting events and events, their ability and speed in communicating with the internal audience, and their ability and depth in transmitting events. The respondents' follow-up to educational programs that promote the right of return on local radio stations came to a moderate degree. The effect of respondents' follow-up to educational programs that promote the right of return on local radio stations was positive, with a rate of (90%). The study concluded that there are no statistically significant differences for the role of educational media programs in promoting the right of return for Palestinian refugees due to the variables (gender, age, educational level, housing).
The study recommended working on developing educational programs that are concerned with promoting Palestinian rights and constants in general and the right of return in particular among Palestinian refugees, by spreading the culture of the right of return among the public through educational programs, meetings and workshops that simulate the right of return, and preparing educational media cadres to renew the formulation of programs that seek To promote the public's right of return, by holding specialized training courses and workshops. And by finding a form of integration and coordination between the media and the rest of the institutions concerned with the right of return to intensify efforts to promote Palestinian rights for the Palestinian citizen.
