Dr. Tarek Abu Hjayyer (2014) The role of leadership practice for continuous learning in risk and crisis management An applied study on the Palestinian government institutions. , Administrative And Financial Sciences .
The current research aims to identify the role of leadership practice of continuous learning in risk and crisis management in the Palestinian governmental institutions. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method for this purpose and the questionnaire was used as a main instrument for collecting data. The size of study
population was 2682 employees and the sample size was 391 individuals and it was a random stratified sample. Moreover, the statistical analysis program "SPSS" was used as a statistical package for entering and processing data and testing hypotheses. The study found that there is a relationship between leadership practice of continuous learning and risk and crisis management. In terms of continuous learning, it is noticeable that governmental leaders work in accordance with the rule of benefiting from mistakes and not to reiterate them in the future. However, they have not reached the stage of continuous improvement yet at the expense of persistence of followed rules and procedures. Also, the study found that risk and crisis management is applied in the Palestinian governmental institutions by a quite moderate percentage and the curative method dominates them more than the protective one. The study recommends that it is necessary to enhance the concept of continuous learning Additionally, it is necessary to follow a scientific method in risk and crisis management which is represented by paying attention to all its stages alike.
