Abstract

Abstract

Through this paper, and according to the time available, we will shed light on some broad lines that may contribute in one way or another to enriching the topic of this symposium, which is "The Palestinian political system and its role in promoting good governance." Before delving into the subject, perhaps it is worth pointing out that we will adopt in this paper the political system in its narrow sense, which is "the form and mechanism of the exercise of government and the constitutional and legal texts regulating it, and that and as it is known that the broad concept of the political system is broader than the mere form and mechanism of the exercise of government that is One of the components of the political system. The concept of the political system in this direction includes non-governmental institutions such as political parties, pressure groups, civil society institutions, and citizens.
